Bohol is abundant in bodies of water and Mag-aso Falls in Antequera is one of its majesties.  Mag-aso Falls is a site of natural beauty.  Over thousands of years ago, the rocks at the base eroded forming a large pool.

An entrance fee of 20 Php is what you’ll hand to the lady that waits by the shack.  Getting down the site is walking along concrete stairs around 197 steps towards the bottom which is very satisfying rather than taking a steep descent.  You also might wanna bring food and water because there are no shops at the bottom.  But of course, you’ll have to be responsible with the leftovers to preserve the nature.

When you reach the bottom, you’ll be mesmerized by the scenery.   The strong falls drop from 25 feet above.  The falls is surrounded with canopy of trees and plants making you experience the whole rain forest adventure and getting closer to Mother Nature.

Everyone is invited to take a dip but with caution as the main pool is deep under the falls, but it gets shallow further back.  Some people prefer to climb up the far side of the gorge and dive into the pool.

Although the place is safe, there’s nothing wrong in taking extra precautions.  Heavy rainfall in nearby areas can lead to flash flooding.  People have been caught out by this and tragically lost their lives.

Mag-aso Falls is an addition to the choices of spots you relax as there are few people who explores the place.  One can wear their sexiest bathing suit without having to worry about eyes that roll and eyebrows that rise on account of insecurity or criticism.  But you should know that there is no toilet or changing room in the area.  You might want to hold it for a little longer when nature calls.
